We Made It!

We made it to 'the South'. I should say we barely made it because Nick was dodging tornadoes on his drive and I was hanging on by a thread on my flight with the little boys. (Thanks to the sweetest old man who helped me carry luggage, I survived!) I had to take everything carry on because we weren't taking our connecting flight... originally we thought we were going to Biloxi but ended up staying just an hour south of Memphis. So we had Nick pick us up in Memphis. But really, the little boys were great on the flight, it was just that I had so much stuff and 2 little boys that I'm pretty sure I looked like a lunatic mother trying to fly with her kids. Boston and Beckham loved being on a plane and Boston he was in heaven when they served drinks and snacks while watching a movie.

We are living in Oxford, Mississippi which is the home of University of Mississippi or 'Ole Miss'. It is a small town and WalMart is pretty much all there is here, oh wait, and All A Dollar! I go to WalMart a ton (P.S. I hate WalMart) but it gives us something to do.

Nick took the boys fishing one morning. There is a lake about 15 minutes away.

Since we are only an hour south of Memphis, this past weekend we went up there to check it out. We went to the Memphis Zoo and the boys loved it! (So we bought a membership so it gives me and the boys something to do:)

Easter

Easter dinner at my Mom's. She had it a week early because her and Jon got married and were going to be in Cancun for their honeymoon.
Dyeing Easter eggs (Boston is obsessed with blue so he did ALL his eggs blue!)

Some Winter Months...

Here is what we have been up to these past winter months...

Nick and I took a winter vacation to Cancun with our friends, Jake and Debby. (I am totally sold on going somewhere warm in the middle of winter...I think it makes winter seem not so long plus the no kids rule is always nice:)

Senor Frogs. That is a crazy place! I thought for sure Nick was going to be pressured into drinking;)

Nick loves to snorkel and tried to snorkel on a stormy day but didn't get far because the waves were too dangerous and the life guard whistled at him. (Everyone stared at him like he was crazy, which he is:)

The car we drove to Coba and Tulum in. It looks so small but is amazingly spacious inside. Nick wants it to be our next car. (Where would I put the double stroller... I think my double stroller is bigger than that car!)

Riding bikes at Xel-Ha

Then, in February we went up to our cabin with the Youngs and Barneys.

Boston, Oakley and Colter riding behind the snowmobile.

Yes, that is me driving and Debby with the kids in the sled. (I think she might have broken her back on the bumps)
We have been to the Farm at Thanksgiving Point. (My boys love to ride the horses!)
Beckham usually is carrying his 'rope' (shoe lace) trying to whip the horse (which is probably not a good thing) and yelling 'Giddyup Cowboy'!.
We have 'attempted' the potty training thing. I'm not convinced he is ready but we are getting new carpet and I thought it would be better for him to have accidents on the old stuff rather than the new. But he likes to wear a helmet and jersey while he is playing with his motorcycles... this was just a pit stop. (Hey, we are all about safety in this family;)
I think I changed my mind and am going to potty train in the summer while we are gone. Oh, we are heading to Mississippi for the summer for Nick's work again. We leave the end of April!

Happy 2011!

Happy New Year! Nick wanted a New Year's kiss... I don't think we should stay up that late!

Boston crashed right after midnight on Nick's lap.
